Gibson Center Meals Program
Providing meals for seniors since 1979!!
Providing excellent and well-balanced meals has been the core and cornerstone of The Gibson Center since our founding in 1979. Our entire kitchen staff has extensive restaurant and food service experience. Our meals are great. Period. Here’s how we serve them….
Congregate Dining
Every Monday through Friday, we serve lunch in the Sprague Dining Room at our building on Main Street in North Conway Village. Meals are served from 11:30 to 12:15. Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend. We do not charge for meals.
Suggested donation for over 60 is $3. For under 60, the suggested donation is $4.
Join us for Arts For Lunch – performances by local artists during lunch that include music, story-telling, book reading, and maybe to come- clowns and railroad conductors! Watch the calendar for upcoming dates.
For anyone who prefers, we can still offer our hot lunch as a To-Go pick up meal that includes our entrée, vegetables, roll, milk, dessert, and often extras. Come to our dining hallway and let our welcoming staff know you will be taking your lunch To-Go. Suggested donation for over 60 is $3. For under 60, the suggested donation is $4.
Home Delivered Meals
If for any reason you are unable to get out or prepare a meal yourself, our Meals On Wheels volunteers will be happy to bring meals right to you for as long as you require them. We will also provide caregivers with a meal if they wish.
Suggested donation for over 60 is $3.
Meals are delivered in a special container. You may eat it when it arrives or refrigerate or freeze it for later.
We deliver meals to the towns of Albany, Bartlett, Chatham, the Conways, Eaton, Hart’s Location, Jackson and Madison.
As long as funding permits, we send breakfast items and frozen dinners on Fridays. Before winter, thanks to the Boy Scouts and local food pantries, we send out our famous Blizzard Boxes with canned and dry goods.
For information on receiving Meals On Wheels, please call us at 603-356-3231 and ask to speak with the Nutrition Office.
Special Dietary Needs
If you have ANY special needs regarding your meals, please let us know so we can accommodate you.
I don’t know what I would have done without Meals on Wheels. I don’t see anyone from 5:00 AM ’til late afternoon except the driver who brings my lunch in, brings me a newspaper, takes any mail I have ready, checks on me and always asks if I need anything.
Congregate meals feed the body and soul. It's good to share mealtimes with old friends and new.
